The vineyards of ther Guntersblumer are set back from the Rhine and have a great degree of elevation compared to the rest of Rheinhessen. The vineyards are characterized by gentle brown/red clay (losses) soild whioch typically great elegant and well rounded wines. The vines are around 25 years.
2015 was a real red wine year. High temperatures and long sunny days ensured for strong red wines with intense colours.
21 days fermentation in Mash (fruit pulp) fermenting tanks with juice draining from 20%. Storage in Barriques for 15 months.
Delicate notes of wild berries, blueberry jam and toasted bread with deep dark colors.
